Ex-Servo’s Social Golf carve up Worrigee Links.

Perfect conditions welcomed the 22 Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen’s Social Golf Club members at Worrigee Links golf course on Sunday 15 May 2016. Almost all of these players took advantage of the conditions and generous tees to record some impressive results. Paul Kay produced possibly his best game to lead home the field with 45 points.

Close on Paul’s tail was President Judy Wakeford as first runner-up with 44 points.  Luke Bowden returned to competition and form, recorded 43 points to be the second runner-up.

Col Burgess had a solid front 9 to record 22 points to win the front 9. After a slow start on the front 9, Ewen Young stormed home with25 points to win the back 9.

Nearest the Pin ball winners were: 17th Moto Parts on the Move voucher: John Van Diejen, 6th Mark McClellan, 8th Luke Bowden, 12th Mark McClellan. The Birdie’s Nest on the 8th remains unclaimed.

The 18th hole longest drive winners were: Col Burgess (A Grade) and Jenniffer Goodall for the Ladies. Peter Harvey and Ewen Young couldn’t be split in the Men’s B Grade, so were awarded joint winners.

Luke Bowden won the Men’s Drive and Pitch on the 15th, while the ladies drive and pitch prize went to Judy Wakeford for her effort on the 2nd.

In the excellent conditions, it was more of a case of who didn’t break their handicap, see the list below.
