Saturday 16th January Single Stroke

Another large field but the day belonged to Paul Harris who shot a course record of 63 seven under par.Well done all that practice certainly worth it.Paul is a very consistant golfer and in never far off the money.Another great score was an 83 off the stick to 25 handicap marker Ben Ison nearly broke his handicap by half.Just as well we don’t play under the old system as he would have lost 6 strokes!!

A couple of heavy showers put paid to some dry trackers including the stranger, but the Ladies proved that they are fair weather players of the six starters 3 pulled the plug, well done to Pat Leach who battled on and won the Ladies with a solid 94/71.Sue Earl and Pat Collier also finished their rounds.

Good to see one of our sponsors having a hit,Craig{Taff}Button from KT’s Mechanical Maintenance & Cleaning had a hit but his score would have been excellent if he had played on the little course next door with the white fence around it.Never mind Taff you cant be a good Golfer and a tipster too!!!

Another to have a good round was Chris Oliver 78/63 would be close to his best round and he easily took out B Grade by 4 shots.Must have a gate on the back fence!!
