71 players headed out in cloudy conditions slight southerly breeze making for a pleasant days golf. And some players really recording some good scores none better than Warren Smart with 47 pts of a 17 cap.The Stranger hasn’t met Warren not sure if he is a new member or a visitor but will find out.Brad Henderson would have thought he had B grade sewn up but had to settle for 2nd spot with 44pts .The “Manly Playboy”finished in 3rd spot with a solid 40pts.There is a bit of a rumour that he’s going to do a stroll down the Corso in his 1960’s budgies and has promised a “selfie”
Clarrie Raymer was the best in A Grade with 42 pts runner up was Jason Brown with 41 pts with” Banga”again in 3rd spot.with 40pts.
The second biggest man in the club “Big” Bob Sutherland with a great 45 pt took out C Grade.Recently retired Football President Ian Cockburn finished in 2nd spot with 42 pts and Chris Ayton took out the minor with39 pts.The Stanger would like to congratulate Ian on his good work with the Football Club over many years and I would think a welcome addition to our committee in the near future.

This was our last game for the year and looking back over the last 12 months surely the player of the year was Brad Henderson.Brad was our B Grade Champion,Our Match play Champion, and the Illawarra B grade Champion of Champions. He’s a great young bloke with it, so well done Brad.
Once again we held a very successful Worrigee Open,Sponsors Day,and Jack Elliott Day.All Events we look forward to every year.Special mention to our hard working sometimes volatile Captain Brian ,President “The Pank” for being a good sport,to our hard working head Chef, modesty prevents me from mentioning his name, and his asst and chief “washer upper”Lindsey Beale and to all the committee for a job well done. Most of our members appreciate what a wonderful facility we have, every Club always have a couple of “Narks”they need to be noticed but not taken notice of.Happy New Year to all
