South Coast Security Irish 4 Ball Singles in Conjunction 19th March

The team of Tristan Balazic, luke Stevens,John King and Mathew Cordner finished 6 strokes clear of the runners up Steve Kohler,Andrew Kohler,Col Burgess and Mathew Hawkins to take out the Irish Event even though we were a couple of days late for good old St Pats day.

Good to see Tristan playing well again and is a welcome addition to A Grade where he belongs. Our Club Champion however is struggling again finishing at the rear of A Grade once more. What’s going on Luke!!

Good to see my Son “Croaky” still holding form taking out C Grade.

Only 4 Ladies this week so bad luck to Dot Burton who finished on top with 24 pts.Sounds like they had a good time though with plenty of shouting presumably for some well played shots.

Our new Captain of the Shield side has introduced the”Baggy Green and Gold” T Shirt and new players are presented with their shirt prior to the game if it is their first rep game.Such a presentation was made on Saturday to our Club Captain Brian Dwyer who finally made it after 11 years of trying!!He also won his match against a strong opponent.

Whilst on the Shield side they threw the cat among the pigeons when they defeated the leaders St Georges Basin on Sunday by 7 Games to 1.This now leaves 5 Teams including us within 1 point of each other with 2 rounds to play.

Easter next Week end don’t forget there is a comp on Monday walk up start.

Next Saturday’s Event is PB’s Smash Repairs Single Stableford.

The Stranger.
