Wray Owen Monthly Medal Saturday 6/12/14

It was touch and go if the medal game was to proceed a large field in excess of 80 were to play but the rain scared a few off. However 75 brave souls headed off and after a heavey shower early on the rest of the round the weather was quite good .Considering the amount of rain we had some good scores were posted none better than that man again Damien Flanagan with a terrific 71 off the stick.Rod Owen also produced a fine 72 off the stick.Talking about stick somebody must have given Ben Bassett a touch with the stick as he also had a fine scratch score of 79.

In B grade George Kulcsar had a 79 off a 16 handicap but it was not good enough to beat
Brownie Snr with a great 78.Long time between drinks Kirk. Some say that he played well after Alona left the course early he didn’t have to worry about her welfare in the Storms.

The best scratch score in C Grade was Captain Brian with a 90 just pipping Peter Conlon with a 91.That dog must have a grin from ear to ear.
